Caperton Trail: Paved trail with easy access to neighboring restaurants, located conveniently within Morgantown city limits and runs through areas such as the WVU Core Arboretum.
Cheat Lake Park and Trail: Wild and Wonderful staple in West Virginia with a 4.5 mile trail, nature viewing area, picnic areas, and unmatchable scenery.
Coopers Rock Overlook & State Forest: Overlook with a 1,200 mile drop to the gorge with picture perfect sunset views. The state forest is filled with tons of trails, with the most notable being the Henry Clay Iron Furnace Trail and Raven’s Rock.
