Is your favorite research the stuff that helps make a better, healthier, more inclusive society? Want to contribute to (and learn from) a growing body of knowledge about ethical strategic communication that moves the needle on positive attitude and behavior change?
Join social scientists for social change and help form a flagship peer-reviewed research conference in advocacy and public interest communication.
The Advocacy and Public Interest Communication (APIC) Research Conference is a gathering for expert scholars and thought leaders to experience emerging insights from peer-reviewed research discussions and keynote addresses from top thinkers and doers.
- All methods and perspectives on research from any discipline implementing ethical strategic communication and employing research insights to drive social change are welcome
- The conference’s primary foci are developing theoretical and empirical insights into strategic communication to inform environmental, health/risk/crisis, social, political and public issues communication and to generate positive attitudinal and behavioral change among audiences; however, applied research and “think” pieces falling within APIC domains also are considered
- In 2020, research stemming from the conference will be eligible for submission to a special issue of the Journal of Public Interest Communications, co-edited by Julia Daisy Fraustino and Jasper Fessmann. (JPIC is a peer-reviewed open-access research journal edited by Brigitta R. Brunner)
